Anyways, recently, there’s a pet store that opened up at the mall where I work at and they had dogs in display boxes which were not something that I, for one, not really seen many in Singapore. Maybe there were back in the past? No idea. I was probably cooped up somewhere during my youth.
Most pet stores I know of sell pet food with fish, rabbit or hamster displays and grooming services but to actually have a pet store with puppies at a mall was actually quite an eye opener. I guess there are too many dogs that need to have homes and no one wants to adopt them and that they probably have to end up selling them?
They are all puppies. Like 3 months old, adorable and fudging cute please! There was one that came up to the glass window when I came by, sat there and actually had eye contact with me for the longest time everrrr~
As I went off, it was still staring at me and it wasn’t just a stare mind you. It was round adoring eyes that made me feel sorry cause if you were a cat, I just would…*sad face*
There was one anxious one though, that would always sit in the corner. Really hope someone will give it a home soon. There was also a very fluffy and active puppy that was literally the only one jumping about in the display area. Hilarious.
My way to work has been exceptionally fun with their presence. I sort of drop by and look at them whenever I had the chance to. Literally once every day. But they get sold pretty fast actually cause I see different puppies almost daily.
That pet store attracted a lot of people and due to covid, they had to ensure that there were no crowds outside the store. So, they tried not to fill up all the displays and just keep them in the store.
Ahhh, I wish I would be able to just see one at least.
And what about cats? I love cats! But I can’t have one at home. Well, there is a lot of responsibility that comes with it.
When I travelled to turkey on a holiday trip. Turkey has lotssss of cats and big dogs. I was waiting for my dad outside one of the mosque and I was just sitting on the ground (more like a step), crossed leg, waiting and suddenly this cat out of nowhere just hopped on me and cuddled in on my lap!
It was the most heartwarming scene in winter. I never imagined I would bring back such a memory from there. I had my thick coat on so it was just there sitting on my lap.
I hope we can travel soon! I just wish our neighbour would get well soon too! I miss a spontaneous trip to Johor or KL. Now, everyday or every weekend, we’ll just be cracking our brains to find something different to do.
Maybe I’ll take a picture of the puppy (if I do remember). Sometimes I just get carried away with playing and looking at them. Haha!
Till my next post, toodles!
